Trends in store design: a Euroshop 2008 interpretation

The ESADE Alumni Italy Chapter organized a conference included in ESADE's refresher program. The conference on "Trends in Shop design: A Euroshop 2008 interpretation" was held by ESADE professor Lluís Martinez-Ribes on December 1st in Milan.

The  world's largest retailing fair, held in Düsseldorf every three years -because according to organizers, this is how long it takes for innovation to catch on - has highlighted the trends that have been gaining ground in recent years along with emerging trends in relation to the conceptualization and design of retail premises.

"The aim of this session is was to share and analyze some of these trends, using real examples", said Lluis Martinez Ribes.




Lluís Martínez-Ribes:

Academic Director of the Executive Master in Marketing & Sales. Master of Business Administration in Retailing and Wholesaling from the University of Stirling. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies and Master in Business Administration from ESADE.
Through work conducted in 20 different countries, Ribes has specialised in the field that is his passion: retail innovation. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing Management at ESADE. He occasionally provides consulting services on projects of intellectual interest.
In 2004, he won the City Marketing Award, which recognises outstanding efforts to promote cities, for his work on Smuack Lleida. In 1999, Supsa, a company which he advises, won the World Electronic Marketing Prize.
