ESADE Alumni has organised a series of Winery Sessions, devoted to discovering the secrets and peculiarities of wines produced in Catalonia with the DO guarantee of quality label.
Vineyards and wines have long been representative icons of our country’s history and culture; and proof of this lies in the popularity and exclusivity achieved by the various denominations of origin. Regions such as Segre, Penedès or Priorato, among others, are internationally renowned for the quality and excellence of their harvests and wine production.
This series of Winery Sessions will be delivered by wine experts. The 1st session, to be held on 2nd December, will be delivered by Bodegues Costers del Sió, owned by the Porciones-Buixó family, and belonging to the Costers del Segre denomination of origin. Their ambition is to produce high-quality wines with all the nuances of the region’s climate. Participants will discover the particularities of the Costers del Segre DO while enjoying a selection of the best wines from the winery’s cellar and finding out more about the production processes involved.
These events will be held in IDEALOFT, a unique and exclusive venue at the heart of the city, belonging to GrupIdea, where participants will also have the chance to take in spectacular views of Barcelona’s gothic Cathedral.
An educational dossier will be handed out during the session. (Duration: 1½ hours approx.)
