ALUMNI GIVING BACK OPENS ITS DOORS TO ALUMNI LAW GRADUATES
In their effort to continue making a valuable contribution to society, the Alumni Giving Back project has incorporated legal advice in its activity programme, a new line of work that invites all Alumni law graduates to take part as volunteers, and in general in any related programme.
Non-profit making organisations have many legally-related needs. The selfless contribution of knowledge by this ESADE association will undoubtedly be welcomed by both NGOs and third sector organisations.
In the course of this financial year, we have been carrying out a first pilot test. Four alumni law graduates have been working for Planeta Imaginario (Imaginary Planet), an organisation dedicated to the integrated care of children with autism and their families. Aspects dealt with have been related to Labour and Civil Law and statute modifications. The experience has been considered highly positive. The volunteers have testified to having gained enormously by working for a kind of client not usually found in law firms, and feel that Alumni Giving Back have given them the opportunity to contribute socially, doing something they know well and thereby contributing value. At the same time, Planeta Imaginario have been most grateful for the result of their commission and for the services rendered by the team: a win-win relationship satisfying all parties.
Over 10,000 hours of pro bono consultations have been provided by BAM members, now it's the law graduates' turn to show support.
Go for it and take part by sending us your CV together with a motivation letter explaining why you are interested in voluntary work experience of this nature. We are counting on you.
In small groups of between 6 and 8 participants, ESADE faculty and alumni will share their expertise with non-profit organisations in a consulting project to last approximately 10 months.
