The ESADE Alumni Community of Valencia Club is pleased to invite you a Refresher Programme talk entitled ''How neuroscience can boost e-commerce'' by Prof. Lluís Martínez-Ribes (Lic&MBA 76).
Think about the last time you searched on-line for a service you needed for your business or for a cold juice machine to let your kids have healthier drinks at home.
When you found possible suppliers, was it easy to navigate, analyze and manage all that information? We are going to experience neuromarketing, but not in the realm of market research or sensorial marketing. This talk will focus not on the moment the purchase decision is taken but on an overlooked but nonetheless very important part of the process prior to decision-taking: the moment the customer handles information. Neuroscience tells us that this is a ''painful'' moment for the brain. Participants will be asked to read a technical note and answer some questions before the talk. Those who give the right answers will be allowed to attend (the questions will not be very complicated!).
We will learn while we have a laugh, do practical things with other people and enjoy ourselves.
Lluís Martínez-Ribes (Lic&MBA 76) is an associate professor in ESADE’s Marketing Management Department and visiting professor at Bocconi University, Milan (Italy). He has also taught at Edinburgh University (UK), HEC (France), Vienna University (Austria), Goizueta Business School (USA), SMU (Singapore), ANE (Russia), St Gallen University (Switzerland), UCA (Nicaragua and Guatemala), etc. Regular speaker at national and international conferences. Has worked for companies including AbbVie, Asics, Bayer, Bimbo, Coca-Cola, Desigual, Esteve, Inditex (Zara,..), General Optica, Ikea (CH), Mercabarna, Nestlé (E & CH), Roca, Sentosa Island (Singapore), Sonae Continente, etc. ''Theory and practice are two sides of the same coin''.
