Positivity as a skill and driving force for corporate change through neuroscience

10/11/2011 (dd/mm/yyyy) | Barcelona

The ESADE Alumni Careers Service cordially invites you to this flash session, where we will use neuroscience to analyse the effects of a positive attitude on our behaviour in a corporate environment.

The past decade has spurred major advances in neuroscience research. We can see and register the brain's functioning in real time. These new technologies help us observe, predict and favourably control a host of vital business affairs, such as the economy, social organisation, technological innovation, the marketplace, communication, etc. The business-neuroscience pairing is being circulated in society, but is there a fully-developed relationship?

Corporate organisations are where the highest-level human skills are developed and applied: making good decisions, handling emotions, communicating, creating and innovating, planning, building strategies, working for joint values, aspiring to success, etc. The positive attitude studied through neuroscience is a factor which will gain more and more importance in daily corporate life.

The session will be led by:

Luis Castellanos García, Director of El Jardín de Junio, Doctor in Philosophy and Arts with training in psychology, Executive Trainer and Training Consultant for several companies. In recent years, he has been heavily involved in scientific research, particularly into the knowledge we have about how our brain works.

Francisco Muñoz Muñoz, Doctor in Neuroscience and Neurobiologist.
