Luca de Meo, Chairman of the SEAT Executive Committee, will feature this new session of Matins ESADE, entitled ''Will the car be a cornerstone of Industry 4.0?''.

Each industrial revolution has been a turning point in history which has changed and affected all aspects of everyday life in one way or another.

Each one begins with a phase of social and financial uncertainty and ends up creating wealth and progress for the population as a whole.

All of them are based on industry and make developments that transform the society and lifestyle of their respective eras.

We are at the beginning of the fourth industrial revolution, or Industry 4.0 as it is also known, and as in previous revolutions, we face times of uncertainty and concern about the future that lies ahead.

The automotive industry is facing its greatest ever revolution. The electric car – connected, self-driving and possibly shared – will totally change the structure of this industry, and its business model too.

Will the car continue to be a cornerstone of Industry 4.0?

Luca de Meo

Luca de Meo was appointed SEAT CEO in November 2015.

Born in Milan (Italy) in 1967, Luca de Meo graduated from Bocconi University with a BBA. His dissertation about corporate ethics was the first on this subject in Italy.
