The global lawyer

22/11/2017 (dd/mm/yyyy) | Barcelona

The legal profession is going global. Don’t get miss the boat!

Markets in general are increasingly global and the legal profession, traditionally more local due to regulatory restrictions, is no exception. Legislation is becoming increasingly standardised in order to span more than one country, particularly in pan-European spheres, and the range of legal subjects and specialties dealt with in the same way by different jurisdictions is growing at a healthy pace. In addition, the mass globalisation of companies requires legal issues to be dealt with in many jurisdictions, making increasingly global legal advice necessary. Now, more than ever, multiculturalism is an asset.

ESADE Alumni Careers invites you to this flash session for members of the legal profession. It will address the legal profession from a global standpoint, and take a look at legal frameworks spanning more than one country, how lawyer profiles are changing to keep pace with the needs of multinationals, the value of international legal experience and expertise, and career planning to make lawyers more competitive in an ever more demanding and global legal profession.
