The ESADE Alumni Andorra Chapter invite you to this talk about the relationship between fear and leadership and how this relationship can affect your ability to influence other people and teams. In times of increasing uncertainty and fast moving change, these factors are crucial for people management.

It is not fear itself that makes leadership difficult but rather not knowing what to do when confronted with it. It is surprising to discover that if fears are handled well, they can produce mental awareness and clarity and really help boost our self leadership – the basis of the impact we have on others. This talk will show you that you already have enough knowledge and techniques to achieve this.

This talk will be given by Jorge Cuervo (MBA 86), author of the books Leaders don’t command (released this year in the United States) and the recently published Qué hacer con tus miedos. The broad experience gained during his career – he began as an executive, progressed into marketing and sales management, and has now branched into coaching – has shaped the particular viewpoint of leadership and team management which he addresses in his books. His professional activity focuses on executive coaching, team development and leadership training.

Jorge Cuervo (MBA 86)

Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (UB) and MBA (ESADE). CPCC certified coach in co-active coaching (CTI), PCC certified coach (ICF), qualified in ORSC Relational Systems Coaching ORSC (CRR) and certified coach (The Leadership Circle Profile).

He is an executive coach and team coach, consultant and coach in team management and leadership. He teaches at Barcelona Activa and on a variety of training and postgraduate programs. He has developed original approaches that combine training with coaching techniques that equip his students with more effective resources which they can apply themselves.
