The 7th Esade Alumni Annual Meeting of the Americas concluded leaving a mark of inspiration, new synergies, and the reunion of alumni from across the region.

The event took place at Sabadell Bank’s premises in Brickell, one of the city’s most prominent financial hubs. This exceptional setting reinforces Miami’s position as a strategic meeting point and a bridge connecting Europe, Latin America, and the United States.

A Growing Global Network

The day began with a vibrant Meet and Greet, followed by an institutional opening that highlighted the strength of Esade Alumni’s global network. Pedro Galván (Lic&MBA 98), President of the Esade Alumni Miami Chapter, emphasized the unstoppable growth of the local community. Meanwhile, Olaya García-Lancha (MBA 01), Director of International Alumni at Esade, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to its alumni abroad.

The highlight of the day was the keynote by Francisco Loscos. With his well-established expertise in leadership and organizational change, Loscos captivated the audience with his session “Futures Foresight and Transformational Leadership.”

A Cross-Sector Dialogue

The academic perspective was complemented by market insights through a high-level panel featuring four additional speakers who brought diverse perspectives from the fields of finance, media, mobility, and healthcare. Participants heard from Maurici Lladó (CEO of Sabadell Bank), who delivered the talk “Leading a Bank Without a Map,” focused on the profound transformation of the financial sector; Laura Tapias (MSc Marketing Management 06), founder of Mercury TV, who addressed the strategic role of entertainment as an educational tool for children; José Carlos de Mier, an expert in the automotive market, who analyzed the evolution and challenges of an industry with 140 years of history; and Adriana González, Business Development Leader at Keralty, who explored disruptive trends in the global healthcare market. The exchange of ideas across these sectors allowed attendees to gain a 360° perspective on how to respond to global change—one of the panel’s most powerful takeaways.
