ESADE Alumni Careers' inaugural session: The professional of the future: are you ready?

Spanish

October 01 OF 2018 from 07:00 PM to 09:00 PM

The world is changing at an ever rapid pace, and technological disruption, demographic, geopolitical and socio-economic changes and increasingly sophisticated clients are just some of the trends that are affecting the job market and fomenting new ways to manage and organise companies.

Within this context, many companies have reflected on their structures, processes and decision-making models, in the end realising that their organisations’ suppleness depends on their people. We have thus entered the era of people and talent, a new period in which talent has become a key economic differentiator.

There have been numerous predictions and speculations about the future job market: if there will be more or fewer jobs, if they will be different or even if many will disappear. No one knows for sure what will occur, but what we do know is that this new context demands new competencies. What new skills can we develop to continue to be employable and find specific jobs that we haven’t even heard of yet?

Santi García, Ainhoa Fornós, Joaquín Viñas and Fernando Tobías will examine the main trends of the future and how to develop curiosity, the ability to constantly adapt and learn new skills, and the importance of having a goal as a driving force for change. We will then focus on ways of paying full and effective attention.

A networking cocktail will be served after the talk.
