Sustainable investing has become more and more popular over the past few years. To consider it and understand its needs, an essential first step is to establish and clarify the state of the field and all of its various practices. Very specific strategies are often quite different and distinct within the field, and are all too often lumped into a single “I’m likely to give up returns” umbrella by those less familiar. Understanding environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) criteria to generate long-term competitive financial returns, will help our global transition to Net Zero. Sustainable Investing will play a key role in driving innovation, creating new forms of finance and will support making better decisions.
