Esade Alumni, Esade BAN and eWorks are launching Entrepreneurship Talks, a series of events that will be held in different cities with the aim of bringing together and supporting all stakeholders in the startup ecosystem.

The first international session took place at Cowork Magis in Paris on 15th November. A group of alumni with entrepreneurial profiles and others interested in the startup ecosystem gathered to listen to Marie Blaise (MIE ‘16), co-founder and Director of École Gustave, and Florian Delifer (MIM ‘07), founder and CEO of OfficeRiders, who shared their experiences as business creators, the difficulties they have encountered along the way and the help they have received from Esade Alumni and Esade. Both of these Esade-educated entrepreneurs have developed their projects in Paris: École Gustave is a training centre that prepares its students to embark on new vocational careers in the construction sector, while OfficeRiders allows professionals and companies from all over the world to take advantage of underused spaces.

Helena Naya, Esade BAN and Entrepreneurship Manager at Esade Alumni, explained: “This initiative aims to bring entrepreneurship closer to alumni across the globe. We want to raise awareness about the Esade Alumni services that are available to them. Over the course of the academic year, this initiative will take us to four other cities to bring us closer to powerful startup ecosystems in countries such as Germany and Italy. The initial goal is to consolidate this initiative as a recurring activity and be able to reach other European cities.”

Elena Zapico, President of the Esade Alumni Paris Chapter, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative. “Students and senior alumni met on 15th November to discover the history of two projects created by graduates of our school: Marie Blaise and Florian Delifer,” she commented. “These two very interesting projects are completely different. Although they bring together graduating classes that are a decade apart, they share a single objective: helping brilliant entrepreneurs. We would like to thank Esade Alumni, Esade BAN and eWorks for entrusting this event to the Paris Chapter. It was a very interesting experience that left us eager to keep learning about new entrepreneurial projects.”

During the event, representatives of Esade Alumni presented several of the association’s initiatives to boost the business ecosystem, including the guidance service for entrepreneurs, the legal and financial guidance service, fundraising efforts through Esade BAN and its business angels network, and, specifically, the International Investment Forums.

Davide Rovera, Manager of eWorks, was also on hand to explain how Esade’s startup incubator and accelerator works.

The event concluded with an afterwork get-together where alumni networked and shared experiences.
