The ESADE Alumni Cultural and Creative Industries Club are pleased to announce their forthcoming talk, 'Andrea Chénier and verismo', your chance to gain an insight into Andrea Chénier and the verismo of this great opera set in the throes of the French Revolution.
Andrea Chénier, the opera that every tenor would love to sing, has 4 grand arias, one in each act, and two grand duets with soprano. This opera is set in the throes of the French revolution and, to be more precise, the Reign of Terror. The Liceu proposes a new production tailored to suit the tenor Jonas Kaufmann, premiered in 2015 at London’s Covent Garden. He stars alongside Sondra Radvanovksy and Carlos Álvarez, a trio currently unsurpassed in the three leading roles.
