Back to basics. The outlook for 2019

Spanish

February 28 OF 2019 from 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM

The ESADE Alumni Lleida Club along with Tressis are pleased to invite you to ''Back to basics”, a talk by the economists Daniel Lacalle and José Miguel Maté, on Thursday February 28th at 18.00.

Since the Lehman Brothers crash in 2008 shook the foundations of the financial markets, we have experienced, particularly in the United States, an unprecedented expansionary economic cycle deemed the longest ever in history. Daniel Lacalle and José Miguel Maté will explain how the global economy has evolved since then and its future prospects. To do this, they will analyze the basics related to the geopolitical, economic and financial context and help us determine what really matters when taking investment decisions.

Many media predict the end of this economic growth cycle and a possible recession. We will examine the economic basics and what can be expected in the immediate future against this complex economic and political backdrop. José Miguel Maté, CEO at Tressis, and Daniel Lacalle, regarded as the eighth most influential economist in the world in 2016, will share their appraisal of the current situation.
