You are invited to a new session of Big Challenges, a social debate initiative that aims to raise awareness about major global trends, help formulate key questions that will improve our understanding of the world, and provide tools that will enable leaders and executives to tackle complex and as-yet unknown issues.
On this occasion, Enrico Letta, former Prime Minister of Italy, will discuss the reforms that are needed in order to relaunch Europe as it faces threats from Brexit, Trump and populism. In particular, he will focus on economic reforms to make Europe prosperous, institutional reforms to make Europe more democratic, and reforms to ensure citizens’ security.

Enrico Letta (Pisa, Italy, 1966) served as Prime Minister of Italy from 2013 to 2014. At the end of his term, he resigned from his seat in the Italian Parliament and moved to Paris, where he became the Dean of the Paris School of International Affairs at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po). He is also the President of the Jacques Delors Institute, which has offices in Paris and Berlin. He previously served as Minister of European Affairs and Minister of Industry and has been a member of the Italian Parliament as well as the European Parliament. Through the think tank AREL, he has been promoting the Spain-Italy Dialogue Forum since 2000.
