You are warmly invited to ''Big Data and Analytics Canvas: the key to fast, successful analytics transformation'', a talk in the ESADE Alumni Refresher Programme by Manu Carricano, senior associate professor in ESADE’s Department of Operations, Innovation and Data Sciences.

They say that data are the new oil. But what makes it possible to derive value and transform today’s businesses and industries is not simply data but companies’ ability to extract and spread knowledge from huge volumes and types of data sources. The companies that have managed to derive value from their incursion into big data, monetize their data, and shift their in-house culture towards data-driven decision making, are the ones that began their transformation a few years ago and have already done their data architecture homework and created an effective data master, amongst other fundamental tasks. This essential phase of a big data project allows them to develop real products based on data, algorithms, tools and solutions, enabling these analytical products to be consumed both inside the company (balanced scorecards, automation of tasks) and outside (campaigns, supply chain, customer interactions and experience, etc).

This talk will examine the success factors of a big data and analytics initiative, and take a look at a method developed by ESADE to ensure the success of its own transformation initiative in a data-driven company: Big Data & Analytics Canvas. Dr Manu Carricano
