The ESADE Alumni Germany Chapter would like to invite you to this session, entitled ''Business in the digital age. Lessons learned and opportunities ahead'', by Dr Jan Brinckmann, Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and professor in ESADE’s Department of General Management and Strategy.

In a fireside chat Prof. Brinckmann will discuss with the movers and shakers of the digital economy the ventures they have started, the lessons learned and what exciting business opportunities lie ahead. The session will be interactive, informal and focused on the personal perspectives of entrepreneurs. The fireside chat will include a Q&A session with participants.

Thomas Baum, the creator of several companies including Rebate Networks and Redstone Digital.

Jan Brinckmann

Dr Jan Brinckmann is professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy at ESADE Business School in the Strategy and General Management Department. He is the director of the Entrepreneurship Lab on the ESADE MBA Program and director of ESADE’s own accelerator. Before coming to ESADE, he taught at Loyola University Chicago and Cornell University and was a visiting scholar at Stanford University and Case Western Reserve University. Dr Brinckmann founded and heads Karma Ventures, a high-tech venture investment and advisory holding. He is a board member at Aklamio, Careesma (Grupo Intercom), Favcorner and Kviar Groupe. He led investments in Juniqe, Red Points, First Stop Health and Icebergs which was recently acquired by Pinterest. Furthermore, Dr Brinckmann is associated with Brains to Ventures, a business angel network from Switzerland and their VC fund. Dr Brinckmann also directs ESADE’s support for the KIC InnoEnergy incubator at ESADE Creapolis. His mission is to empower entrepreneurs. More information:
