We promote networking among alumni to strengthen business connections, promote new ideas and advance your career.
No matter what your age, this is an exciting time to be alive. The knowledge revolution we are in the throes of is shaping a creative society already within everyone’s reach. The spates of accessible, applicable knowledge being triggered all around us by technology can change our lives in general and, if you want to, your life in particular.
Our lives are, of course, complex and not always easy. With every passing day we have more opportunities to work in different sectors and countries, but this calls for skills and competences applicable to different scenarios. The challenges facing us constantly oblige us to learn and unlearn. This constantly changing world forces us to risk failure and step outside our comfort zones.
ESADE Alumni Careers invites you to the final talk of 2016-17 by Elsa Punset, a leading author and communicator about how emotional intelligence can be used to achieve positive change. She will share insights into the secrets of an adaptable, creative brain that can be trained like a muscle to share space and cooperate with others, to communicate effectively, to have meaningful interpersonal relationships, to solve conflicts and overcome obstacles, to take strategic decisions, and to express our creativity.
After the session we will offer a networking cocktail. Elsa Punset
Born in London, Elsa holds a degree in humanities, a master in humanities (Oxford University) and a master in journalism (Autonomous University of Madrid). She also has a master in secondary education (Camilo José Cela University, Madrid).
Director of contents at LASE (Laboratory of Social and Emotional Learning), she has also worked on the TV programme El Hormiguero, and as director and presenter of ''La Mirada de Elsa'' on social media. She subsequently had a weekly section, ''El mundo en tus manos'' in ''Para todos la 2'', a programme on the Spanish TV channel TVE.
She has written many books and has also published several illustrated stories for children to help them understand and deal with their basic emotions. In March 2016 she published ''El libro de las pequeñas revoluciones'' (The book of small revolutions) now in its 7th edition with more than 100,000 readers.
