Are we aware of the devastating impact of climate change on our lives? Can each of us do something from our different positions? To what extent are we really committed to fighting this terrible enemy? Is it too late?
Undoubtedly, from our privileged positions, there is a great deal to be done. Come along and find out what’s happening and give some thought to the matter.
1. Documentary showing the REAL impact of climate change
2. Discussion with our key speakers: Jordi Juanos, CEO of Plant for the Planet, Rafael Sardà, expert, and professor Alfred Vernis.
3. Networking refreshments at the end of a pleasant evening with friends.
Thank You For The Rain – Over the last four years, Kisilu Musya, a Kenyan farmer, has been using his camera to capture the life of his family, his village and the devastating impact of climate change on his land. His tale ends with North and South joining forces against climate change to the benefit of the entire planet.
Jordi Juanos – Director of the Plant-for-the-Planet Spain Foundation, expert in climate change, promoter of social and environmental enterprise as a different, effective way of doing things, coach and mentor on social and environmental issues for institutions and organisations.
Rafael Sardà – BSc in biology (Universidad de Barcelona) and PhD in Marine Biology (university award for merit). Rafael studies the frontier between social and ecological systems, how they work and interact, how to deal with present and future, local and global environmental issues and the role, if any, that science and regulations may have. His fields of research include integrated coastal management, ocean management, benthonic ecology on the sea bed and sustainability.
Alfred Vernis – Academic director of sustainability at Inditex (Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius, Bershka, Osyho). Professor in the ESADE department of general management and corporate strategy, expert in sustainability and innovation, strategy, management of public entities and non-profit social entities and corporate sustainability.
See you there!
After the session we will offer a cocktail.
