The civil service as the responsibility of governments and companies

Spanish

September 25 OF 2018 from 09:30 AM to 11:00 AM

#EntornoPúblico

As part of the third edition of the Public Agenda programme, ESADE and KREAB have organised a debate session featuring Meritxell Batet, Spanish Minister of Territorial Policy and Civil Service, who will reflect on the role of the civil service in a dynamic and complex future.

The civil service plays a key role in every Western democracy. Because of its role as a regulator, supplier, consumer and stimulator, the civil service is a fundamental part of the economy, and of society at large. The capacities and abilities of the public sector have consequences for its efficacy, efficiency and stability, making this an important issue for the private sector (businesses as well as non-profit entities). In-depth analysis and consideration of the public administration is therefore very important for society as a whole.
