ESADE Alumni is pleased to invite you to The controller in data-driven companies, a talk in the refresher programme by David Bertomeu, professor in the ESADE department of economics, finance and accounting and co-director of the advanced management control programme, and Ramón Morote, chief data officer at Naturgy.
One of the most challenging concerns for controllers today is how to deal with the world of data and particularly the new technologies that have sprung up from it. Concepts such as big data, AI and data analytics raise concerns amongst controllers and make them feel they must not miss the boat.
This session will feature a discussion between David Bertomeu, professor in the ESADE department of economics, finance and accounting and co-director of the advanced management control programme, and Ramón Morote, chief data officer at Naturgy, who will explain what matters for controllers in this new field and give advice about the right approach.

Ramón Morote has spent most of his career in Naturgy, specifically as a controller in different areas. In 2017 he was promoted to chief data officer.
