Fuencisla Clemares
Degree in business administration and MBA (IESE) in 2000.
Her career began at McKinsey & Company, where she worked for 7 years and specialized in marketing and as an advisor to distribution companies.
In 2007 she joined Carrefour as purchasing manager in charge of sales strategies and liaison with suppliers to the house-home division.
Two years later, in 2009, she joined the online world as manager of retail and consumer goods at Google Spain. Since then she has been working on boosting the digitalization of the retail, travel, consumer, automotive and consumer electronics sectors.
After taking charge of the banking, insurance and telecommunications areas, and also the initiative to make the mobile phone part of the business growth of all industries, she was appointed CEO of Google Spain and Portugal in November 2016.
In addition to helping companies boost their digital growth and competitive edge in the online world, Fuencisla is particularly keen to emphasise the fundamental role of women and their empowerment in the world of technology. She therefore participates in forums and projects aimed at highlighting the role of women in leadership and the online world, and also the importance of education in this realm.
She also combines her work as head of Google’s management with teaching on the IESE Master Programme and at the ISDI (Spain’s higher internet development institute).
Fuencisla is married and has three children.
