Spanish

The ESADE Alumni Aragón Club is pleased to invite you to their 8th annual conference.

Carlos Clos will share his personal experience of management in high-voltage scenarios, the prior preparation and the techniques and training used for taking emotions and the influence of the surroundings out of your decisions and responsibilities.

Carlos Clos Gómez (Saragossa, Aragón, Spain, 30 June 1972) was formerly a football referee in Spain’s first division and a member of the Aragón referee association.

He began as an indoor football referee in 1987, and continued as a football referee one season later. As he climbed the ranks of referees he was soon acknowledged as a promising young referee in Aragón and entered second division B in the 1997/98 season, where he remained for four seasons. In July 2001, he was promoted to professional football and entered the second division, where he was a referee for five seasons. At the end of the 2005/06 season he joined Spain’s first division where his first match was Real Club Deportivo Español vs Club Gimnàstic de Tarragona (0-1).

Clos Gómez’s career as a referee ended after eleven seasons in the first division at the end of the 2016/17 season in compliance with Spain’s referee association regulations which require referees to retire after the season when they turn 45.

Following his retirement, he was appointed head of women’s football in the referee committee of the Valencian football federation.

He is now the Head of the VAR project in Spain and member of the technical referee committee in Spain’s football federation.

See you there!
