ESADE Alumni invites you to an upcoming session of the Refresher Programme, entitled ''Executive Careers in Global and Digital Times: Tend to Your Garden!'', with Academic Assistant Xavier Mir.

Thanks to globalisation and digitalisation, the acceleration and depth of the change taking place in the business world – and society in general – has profoundly affected executive careers.

Nowadays, there’s no such thing as a job for life. Today’s careers are more sinuous, tense and fast-paced... a thrilling roller-coaster ride!

For today’s executives, successful career management requires paying more attention and having a proactive attitude. They need to set aside time to stay in shape in various ways, because nobody will do it for them.

They should take care of their body and mind, stay abreast of developments in their field and cultivate relationships that will keep them well-connected. In short, they must tend to their garden!
Health, emotional intelligence, continuing education and networking are key concepts nowadays.
Being an executive is wonderful, but it is also a high-risk profession.

* We recommend that you read this article before the session.
