'The family business in 2040', by Professor Alberto Gimeno (Lic&MBA 84 / PhD 99)

Spanish

November 21 OF 2016 from 07:00 PM to 09:00 PM

The ESADE Alumni Balearic Islands Club is pleased to invite you to this Refresher Programme session entitled ''The family business in 2040'', a talk by Alberto Gimeno (Lic&MBA 84/PhD 99), ESADE’s General Management and Strategy Department and Director of ESADE’s Family Business Lab.

The world seems increasingly unpredictable. That suggests a time of transition to new models for society and business – a shift that could easily happen over the next 25 years, not  slowly  over  a  century.  Technology,  geopolitics  and  institutions  will  all  change.  Family firms, the dominant form of business, have a responsibility and an opportunity to  be  agents  of  this  transition.  What  does  this  mean  for  today's  notions  of  business  ownership and family structure? How can family businesses stay close to scientific and societal innovations and benefit from them?
