Programa de continuidad | Spanish

December 14 OF 2017 from 07:00 PM to 08:30 PM

ESADE Alumni invites you to ''Family firm governance: from formality to reality'' a talk in the Refresher Programme series by Maria José Parada (PhD 16 / MBA 01), associate professor in ESADE’s Department of Strategy and General Management.

Good governance is crucial for the success of the family firm. Good governance is often confused with the trappings of governance, i.e. its formal aspects, but what really matters is the functionality of governance as a whole.

This talk will address the construction of successful governance from a contingent standpoint, i.e. taking into account the needs of the family firm itself, and the part played by business leaders in governance schemes.

Professor Parada is from a family firm setting still run by her parents. For more than 10 years she has worked in research and teaching at ESADE. She defended her doctoral thesis about corporate governance in family firms at Jönköping University in Sweden.

Members may bring one guest.
