The port of Barcelona is the main transport and services hub of Catalonia and a benchmark port in Europe’s Mediterranean region. Its area of influence covers the Iberian peninsula, southern and central Europe and north Africa, and it is Europe’s gateway to such distant markets as the Far East and Latin America. With some 100 regular lines between the Catalonian capital and more than 200 ports on the five continents, Barcelona is Spain’s number 1 port in terms of international traffic. It specialises in general cargo and high value-added merchandise such as consumer goods, electronic goods and vehicles.
This guided tour is your chance to find out first hand about the operations, traffic, infrastructure and operators in the port during a boat ride.
