ESADE Alumni Entrepreneurship is pleased to invite you to this talk about team management in start-ups on Monday, November 19th 2018 at 19:00 at ESADE Barcelona (Av. Pedralbes 60-62). The keynote speakers will be Marc Soler, co-founder and CEO of 21Buttons, and Jimmy Martinez, co-founder of Immfly.

This interview format session, to be chaired by Oscar Vayreda, will answer questions about issues such as creating teams from scratch, team selection criteria, selection problems, and negotiating pay, equity, working hours etc, and will offer advice about team leadership in start-ups. Participants will also be able to ask questions.

 

Marc Soler (BBA 14), co-founder and CEO of 21 buttons

BBA at ESADE. Traineeship at Mckinsey. He joined the firm as a consultant after graduating and worked there for two years. In early 2016 he founded 21 Buttons (together with another founder). He now has 67 employees and both co-founders feature in Forbes 30 under 30.

Jimmy Martinez (BBA 13), co-founder of Immfly

Jimmy Martinez von Korff created his own company in 2013, just after finishing the BBA at ESADE. Today, Immfly is a new platform for entertainment, retail and communication for the flight experience. Focused on the domestic flight market in Europe, Immfly offers wireless content to passengers through its personal electronic devices.

 

 

Oscar Vayreda

Currently focussed on two fields of interest: helping entrepreneurs and investors create successful start-ups, and helping companies seize digital transformation opportunities.

Took his first steps as an entrepreneur in 1996 when he co-founded an e-learning start-up. In 2008 he co-founded Digital Seed, where he was CEO until bought out by another company in October 2012.

Has worked in multinationals (IBM) and SMEs (GECSA), and as a self-employed consultant. Has worked in consulting (IBM), technology (Lotus Development), communications and advertising (Abilbo), knowledge management (GECSA), marketing (Digital Seed) and e-learning (Retelcom).

Has given classes on different masters (UPC and IQS) and university courses (URL), and at private institutions.
