The ESADE Alumni Girona Club and ESADE Alumni are pleased to invite you to their forthcoming conference entitled ‘An Introduction to Fintech and Blockchain’, by Carlo Sala, professor  in the ESADE department of finance.

We are on the threshold of the fourth industrial revolution. Technological innovation is radically changing how the world works. Blockchain is one example of disruptive technology that might have the same impact as the arrival of internet in its time. The most famous product in the blockchain world is Bitcoin.

But what is blockchain and how does it work? What is proof of work and why is it a fantastic solution when trustworthiness is at stake? What do miners do? And what does all this have to do with Bitcoin? And with your life?
