In 2000, Napster burst into the music industry. It was illegal but it changed music forever. In 2009, Uber was created. Some say it’s illegal, but it has moved the transport goalposts. Might the same thing happen in the legal profession? No, it would breach the regulations governing this sector. Besides, a machine or an engineer could never replace a lawyer...or could they?
The ESADE Alumni Lima Chapter is pleased to invite you to this talk entitled 'The legal profession is different. It won’t be affected by technology… or will it?' by Antonio Delgado (LIC&MBL ’00), director of the master in international business law, on Tuesday March 5th.
Antonio Delgado
Antonio Delgado is the director of the master in international business law and professor of business law and copyright at ESADE Law School. His career began as a lawyer in the telecom industry during its deregulation. He held several posts in the AUNA group and subsequently ONO (now Vodafone), where he was in charge of the legal department in the Catalonia and Aragon area. In 2007, he joined La Caixa as an expert in their e-banking and new technology division, and in 2009 he was appointed head of the legal department in the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, with particular emphasis on legal counsel related to innovation development.
