As everyone knows, we are entering an increasingly uncertain era. The biggest obstacle to understanding and managing organisations in this new landscape is the need to adopt new mindsets. This talk will focus on the alternative mindsets necessary for management in the world that lies ahead.

Alberto Gimeno

Associate professor in the ESADE department of general management and strategy. Corporate policy at ESADE. Co-director of the ESADE International Family Business Lab. Academic director of the CEMS International Master. Professor of Executive Education at HEC-Paris. Member of the International Academic Leaders group at Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico).

Former director of the Advanced Management Programme at ESADE (2005-2011). Permanent guest professor at the Wittener Institute für Familienunternehmen (WIFU) in Germany (2000-2016). Fellow of the Family Firm Institute (FFI). Former member of the STEP Project global board. Former member of the Family Business Expert Group that advised the European Commission about family firm issues. Ranked as one of the world’s 20 “star professors” by the journal Family Capital.

PhD in business science (ESADE-URL) with a doctoral theses that received the Best Dissertation Award from the Family Firm Institute. Author of many scientific and mainstream publications. Regular speaker on this subject at different national and international forums. Partner at Family Business Knowledge (FBK), a company working around the globe as a consultancy for family firms. Secretary of the Socratic Dialog Institute foundation.
