The ESADE Alumni Healthcare and Pharma Club in conjunction with the ESADE Alumni Marketing Club are pleased to invite you to their talk, 'Marketing and pharma. Is innovation possible in more than just products? Successful case studies in marketing and sales strategy'.
The pharmaceutical industry is inherently innovative. Situated at the forefront of research, it works on enabling patients and users to benefit from medical research. It does so not only with regard to proprietary medicinal products, this industry also creates new formulae and presentations for other types of products such as healthcare products, food supplements, cosmetics, etc.
On the other hand, this industry is cautious in the areas of marketing and sales, against a backdrop of digital transformation, and tends towards more conservative options.
A paradigm shift is under way and this industry can no longer content itself with daily, face-to-face visits to doctors and pharmacists by representatives and salespersons armed with pamphlets or, at best, tablets.
By discussing innovative case studies in sales and marketing, this talk aims to show that not only is it possible to innovate in more than just products, but that this type of innovation can be a competitive edge.
