Demetrio Carceller Arce, Executive Chairman of Damm, will be the guest speaker at an upcoming Matins Esade session entitled “From Barcelona to the World: Transforming in Order to Grow”.
Founded in Barcelona in 1876, Damm has become one of the world’s fastest-growing companies in recent years thanks to a self-funded strategy of diversification and internationalisation that has doubled the group’s turnover in the last 10 years. Demetrio Carceller Arce is one of Spain’s most prominent businessmen and a key figure in the food and beverage, infrastructure, services, and energy industries. He serves as Executive Chairman of the Damm Group and the oil company DISA, as well as Vice Chairman of the leading multinational food-processing firm Ebro Foods and the construction company Sacyr. Carceller Arce also sits on the board of the cava producer Freixenet and was elected as chair of Cerveceros de España, the Spanish brewers’ association. Over his more than three decade career as a business leader, he has demonstrated his commitment to innovation, internationalisation, diversification, sustainable growth and corporate social responsibility.
