Octavio Ibarra, president of CLADEA (LatAm board of business schools) will speak at the forthcoming Matins ESADE talk entitled: ''Crucial factors for long-lasting success in the LatAm market''.

Latin America is moving towards increased commercial integration as a mechanism to boost its economic growth but the region still has high levels of poverty and inequality and faces major challenges in its business development and competitive edge. In this respect, it is important for companies interested in these markets to contemplate new business models and ways of implementing their strategies in line with business ecosystem of Latin America.

PhD in management (University of Hull), master in philosophy (University of Hull, England) and an MBA (Universidad del Norte, Barranquilla, Colombia). Currently working on a post-doctoral degree at the University of Oxford, England. Professor and researcher in marketing, branding and retail.

President of CLADEA (LatAm board of business schools) based in Lima, Peru. Member of the EDAF Deans Across Frontiers Steering Committee of the European Foundation For Management Development based in Brussels, Belgium. Member of the LatAm Advisory Council of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business of the USA and member of the Steering Committee of Principles for Responsible Management Education, Global Compact United Nations.
