Next Generation Global Public Health: Inspiring Innovations and Critical Challenges

English

March 14 OF 2018 from 06:30 PM to 08:00 PM

Emerging trends and disruptive forces: what factors impact our health, now and in the future? We face escalating threats from urbanization, global migration, climate change, smog, emerging infections and antimicrobial resistance. Complex health systems and corporate mergers have had a limited impact on human behaviour – like food choice, sedentary lifestyle and tobacco – and the consequent epidemics of non-communicable diseases that impact our lifespan and our healthspan.

And yet, there is tremendous opportunity and upside potential. We must leverage tools across multiple sectors along with social and technological innovation to build capacity, engineer environments and inspire behaviour change as well as to promote human resilience and social connectedness.

ESADE Alumni Gulf Region Chapter invites you to join this event organized by the Yale Arab Alumni Association (YAAA), a lively discussion with the dean of the Yale School of Public Health, Sten Vermund, and a distinguished panel of experts to answer your “big questions” and share their views of the future of public health.
