Successful and Inspiring Women: Determining the Leadership DNA

The ESADE Alumni NYC Chapter is thrilled to invite you to our forthcoming event, Successful and Inspiring Women: Determining the Leadership DNA, on Monday, May 20 at 17:00.

We will have the pleasure of listening to female leaders from various industries during this panel discussion to determine the key qualities of leadership DNA.

The event will be held by:

•    Ruth A. Davis
Ruth A. Davis is the former Director General of the United States Foreign Service; Director of the Foreign Institute; and Ambassador to the Republic of Benin. She is presently Chair of The International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC), Chair of the International Mission of Mercy USA (IMMUSA) and Vice President of the Washington Institute of Foreign Affairs.

•    Eugenia Bieto
Eugenia Bieto is the former Director General of ESADE Business & Law School and Chair of the CEMS Global Alliance in Management Education. She serves on various boards and committees, is a member of the EU Women in Leadership Network and the International Women’s Forum, and is frequently invited to speak at national and international forums and conferences on both feminine leadership and entrepreneurship.

•    Gema Sacristan
Chief Investment Officer and member of the senior management team at IDB Invest, the private sector arm of the IDB Group. She is responsible for all IDB Invest’s business areas including infrastructure and energy, corporates, financial institutions, financial products and services, advisory services and blended finance and portfolio management.

•    Lisa Bloomberg

Lisa Bloomberg is a Principal Director with Accenture’s Financial Services Group / Finance and Risk - North American Regulatory & Compliance practice and leads Accenture’s Legal Transformation practice. Over the course of her two-decade career, Lisa has provided legal and regulatory advice to financial institutions and in particular, asset managers, wealth managers and investment banks. She holds a JD from Tulane Law School and a BA in Economics and Spanish from Bucknell University.

•    Gemma Cortijo
Gemma Cortijo is the Executive Director of the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Founded in New York in 1959, the Chamber is a not-for-profit, membership institution that fosters economic ties between the two countries and promotes bilateral trade and investment.
Since 2017, she has been the Secretary General of the Federation of Official Spanish Chambers of Commerce in the Americas (FECECA). She is also currently the President of the Association of European American Chambers of Commerce (EACC-US), an umbrella organization that brings together all of the bilateral European chambers headquartered in New York.
