You are cordially invited by the ESADE Alumni Community of Valencia Club to ''The Trump Administration and the Spanish Economy'', a talk by Francesc Xavier Mena, director and professor in ESADE’s Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting. The session is part of the presentation of the Programme for Leadership Development (PLD) which will be held in Valencia.

Donald Trump’s election as the president of the United States, taking office on January 20, 2017, may constitute a U-turn in the economic policy and leadership of the world's largest economy. Considerable fallout is expected in all economic areas: euro-dollar exchange rates, interest rate differentials, capital movements, stock market developments, exports to the US market, renegotiations of trade agreements, Brexit characteristics, economic growth of China and Latin America and global migratory flows, to name but a few. In the world of politics, the shift towards populism could well redraw the electoral map of certain European countries. In particular, this talk will analyse the possible effects that the economic policy of the Trump administration may have on Spain’s economic situation and outlook for 2017-18. F. Xavier Mena
