March 01 OF 2018 from 07:00 PM to 08:30 PM

The ESADE Alumni Tarragona Club is pleased to invite you to “What do blockchain and ICO (initial coin offering) mean?”, a talk by Raúl López, CEO and cofounder of ICOVend.com, and Albert Nicolau and Guillem Gómez from King eClient.

Blockchain is the technology used by cryptocurrencies, but what is it? Can it be used in other industries? This overview of how it works will give an insight into its real potential to create new business models and explain the Initial Coin Offering (ICO), an innovative funding model that has sprung up along with cryptocurrencies.

The talk will also discuss the concept or technologies of disruptive interaction between humans which empower society and lead to positive change. Such technologies include the bitcoin and the blockchain, and the speakers will share their views about how they will affect and democratize society.
