PhD in Biochemistry/ CORE Harvard Business School/ PMD from Esade
I have specialised in health innovation for 15 years. I have a PhD in Biochemistry and Biomedicine from UCM, a CORE from Harvard Business School and a PMD from Esade. I care about my plant population, I enjoy the cultural scene from live music to contemporary art, and in my free time I like to attend conferences.
My career in health innovation has included positions in big pharma, research centres, hospitals, startups, venture capital and government agencies. I have held technical and leadership roles in operations, strategy, R&D, value creation and investment, building value proposals that involve various stakeholders and countries. With a focus on impact, inclusivity and sustainability, I entered politics as Chief of Staff in the Department of University, Innovation, and Digital Transformation in the Government of Navarre. Today, I improve the European environment for innovation as an Advisor on Innovation, Industrial Policy and Digital in the European Parliament in Brussels.
On the social side, I founded and presided over PRISMA, an association for affective-sexual and gender diversity in science, technology and innovation, and ComunicaBiotec, an association for biotechnology communicators. I previously led the Health 2.0 Madrid Digital Health meetings.
As an immunologist, I have published various articles in specialised journals, mentored various startups and participated in the faculty of various acceleration programmes. I also write opinion articles on innovation for various Spanish media outlets.
I am originally from Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and I am fluent in Italian, English, Catalan and French, although my native languages are Galician and Spanish . I currently live in Brussels, Belgium, and I fly regularly to Madrid and Barcelona. You can follow me on @erreuvedos.
