Telefónica consists of platforms. Its first platform, physical assets, represents the firm’s foundation. The second corresponds to its IT systems which orchestrate its business flow. The third creates services, taking advantage of the capacities generated by the first two.
In this master class organised by ESADE Executive Education and the ESADE Alumni Digital Business & ICT Club, we’ll learn about Telefónica’s fourth platform and how it adds a layer of abstraction. This provides an end-to-end view of the company’s clients, allowing these to also access and manage the data generated when using Telefónica’s services as well as providing them with tools to make their digital lives more comfortable in real time. In this session, Francisco Montalvo will explain the challenge that correctly implementing this implies, though successfully doing so is essential to achieve the desired objective: improve client relations fully supported on the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

Francisco Montalvo is the Director of Telefónica’s Fourth Platform. He holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering. Before joining Telefónica, he was Sales Director at Nokia for the Telefónica Europe account in addition to performing other roles. Previously, he worked for other companies such as France Telecom, Alcatel and Lucent Technologies as well as the Spanish Ministry of Defence where he began his career.
