Ramón Casilda Béjar is the author of Crisis y reinvención del capitalismo (Crisis and Reinvention of Capitalism), published by Tecnos, which looks at how to leverage globalisation, multinationals, new technology and knowledge to reorient economic activity.
Breaking down the various stages capitalism has undergone throughout its development, from commercial to industrial and financial, onto the current technological paradigm, Casilda Béjar outlines a fifth stage, which he calls ‘interactive global capitalism’, the origins of which lie in crisis itself or the Great Recession, as the current crisis has come to be known.
This multidisciplinary work offers readers an in-depth look at the key factors underpinning the capitalist system and its recurrent crises with a view to finding effective solutions to prevent us from repeating the mistakes of the past. To this end, it advocates deep reflection, based on intellectual honesty, without losing sight of the ideas of practical men and women.
