Tomás Pascual, president of Calidad Pascual, will be the keynote speaker at Matins ESADE with a talk entitled 'Pascual Quality, Key Quality'.

His talk will focus on the history of the company since its founding in 1969 to the present day. This year is particularly important: 2019 is the company’s 50th anniversary.

Tomás Pascual Gómez-Cuétara is the down-to-earth head of Calidad Pascual, a family business in the food industry in Spain. After more than 40 years’ experience, the firm now has more than 200 products amongst its brands Pascual, Bezoya, Vivesoy, Bifrutas and Mocay Caffè, 6 manufacturing centres, 27 regional sales offices and more than 2,200 employees.

Born on 27th September 1962. Tomás is married with 5 children and 2 grandchildren.

Tomás Pascual Gómez-Cuétara, the eldest child of the founder, is now the well-known head of the company. He was appointed president of Pascual Calidad in March 2006, following his father’s death, in keeping with the succession plan agreed upon by the family board.

Between 1980 and 1987 he completed internships in different departments of the company whilst pursuing his studies in industrial engineering.

After this first stage at Pascual Calidad, he furthered his education and experience in several US companies including particularly the New York food company, White Rock, and the Bank of America.

After several years in the US, in 1991 he came back to Spain and he gradually returned to Calidad Pascual where he worked from 1991-96 in different areas: purchasing, manufacturing, research and development, quality and sales.

During these five years, Tomás Pascual Gómez-Cuétara acquired a thorough knowledge of the company’s value chain prior to his appointment as strategy manager of Pascual Calidad and head of operational management of all the firm’s general management areas.
