ESADE Alumni Entrepreneurship is holding a talk about startup funding from the viewpoint of a business angel. The speaker, Carles Florensa, private investor and ESADE BAN member, will share his experience and the portfolio of the companies he has invested in to date. The talk is scheduled for Monday May 14th 2018 at 19:00 at ESADE Barcelona (Av. Pedralbes 60-62).

The talk will have an interview format with questions such as: What isthe best way to approach a business angel? How can a startup catch the attention of a business angel? How can a startup be valuated? What selection criteria do business angels apply? What do they not like? Are there standard metrics for investors? Which documents are most important? Do they prefer ambitious or realistic business plans? What role do business angels play after making an investment? What sort of follow-up do they prefer? What information does a business angel request?

Carles Florensa (CE Lic&Master 87 and Business Angel School 09) is an entrepreneur, investor, professor and mentor of startups and recently created companies. He specialises in marketing, SMEs, creativity and fundraising. Since 2009, Carles has been a member of ESADE BAN, the ESADE Alumni business angel network, is a board member of the Alumni investor and entrepreneur club and a member of the committee that selects projects for ESADE BAN. He has been running Eurosilla, a company dedicated to the design and sale of contemporary furniture for the home and hotels, for more than 20 years.
