A talk with Professor Ceferí Soler and wine at Torres China

The ESADE Alumni Greater China Chapter together with Torres China and Mary Granger (Lic&MBA 90), Regional Director of ESADE in Asia, are pleased to invite you to their forthcoming event: a talk with Professor Ceferí Soler, professor in ESADE’s Department of People Management and Organization followed by a wine mixer at Torres China.

Torres China was established by Miguel Torres (Lic&MBA 98) of Miguel Torres S.A. in 1997 and Baron Philippe de Rothschild entered the firm as a key shareholder in 2007. Torres China’s pursuit of the commitment and passion that characterise these two legendary European wine families makes it one of China’s leading wine distributors. Yin Tang (BBA 15), a marketing executive at Torres China, will give participants the opportunity to educate their palates and meet up with fellow ESADians and future ESADE students.

Professor Ceferi will talk about management and leadership; old and new styles of leaders including Kim Jong-un, Erdogan, Donald Trump and Marine Le Pen; and the United Airlines 3411 case study. The aim of this talk is to reveal how a leader can influence corporate management.

 

 

Ceferí Soler

Ceferí has worked for three organisations: Caja de Ahorros y Pensiones de Barcelona, PriceWaterhouse (PW) and ESADE. Director of corporate training at ''la Caixa'', director of consultant corporate development at PW, and professor at ESADE since 1992. He has also been the director of Executive Education at ESADE and the director of the ESADE-Cranfield research project ''Trends in human resource management''. Currently working with a maquila in San Salvador on the reinsertion of some 120 recently released convicts. For more information, click here.
